Responsibilities Tasks Direct and control daily operations Evaluate daily operations Plan and organize daily operations Establish and prepare work schedules Select and hire subcontractors and coordinate their work Verify subcontractor work to ensure compliance with quality standards, plans and specifications Develop and implement advertising, marketing and sales strategies Plan and manage budgets Perform various specialized work in residential construction or renovation activities Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers Prepare estimates and quotes for residential construction, renovation or restoration projects Consult with clients, architects and engineers on plans and specifications Prepare and update directories of suppliers and specialized contractors Ensure building permits are obtained Develop and implement health and safety at work plans Supervisory functions and activities 3 to 4 people
