**Responsibilities**
Tasks
Interpret welding instructions
Operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic welding equipment
Read and interpret plans, welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and procedures
Inspect welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications
Determine weldability of materials
Operate lifting devices
Participate in maintenance and repair of welding and brazing machines
**Qualifications**
Credentials (certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.)
Canadian Welding Bureau Certificate

Welding techniques
Tungsten electrode welding
Gas metal arc welding with solid wire
TIG
Equipment and machinery operation experience
