Responsibilities Tasks Clean and disinfect items such as dishwasher racks, carts and food waste grinders Use a dishwasher to wash dishes, glasses and utensils Store dishes in the designated area Disinfect dishes and other items and wash them by hand Scour pots and pans Divide food into portions and wrap them Prepare and heat simple dishes Fill refrigerators and salad bars Use manual and electric devices to clean, peel, slice and cut food Handle cleaning products and store them Receive, unpack and store provisions in refrigerators, freezers, cabinets and other storage Dispose of waste and garbage and empty trash cans Sweep, wipe, wash, wax and polish floors Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits
