Work Environment Restaurant Gas Station Quick Service Restaurant Responsibilities Tasks Operate a cash register Process cash, cheque, credit card and debit card payments Scan items Determine the total amount due for products or services Receive payments for products or services Calculate daily amounts received and reconcile with total sales figures Suggestive selling Stock shelves and clean counters around the checkout Greet customers Bag or package merchandise Provide customer service Assist customers with self-checkout Calculation of foreign currency exchange rates Monitor traffic and request proof of payment when necessary Participate in promotional activities Verify age of customers purchasing lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products Credentials Credentials (certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.) First Aid Certificate Experience and Specialization Management Systems (MIS or DB) Electronic cash register Interac machine Price optical scanner Computerized inventory management and stock ordering system Work Experience Domain Cleaning Additional Information Safety and Security Criminal record check Transportation and Travel Information Public transportation available Working Conditions and Physical Abilities Work environment with fast-paced activities Work under pressure Handle heavy loads Physically demanding Attention to detail Sitting, standing and walking Standing for extended periods Bending, squatting, kneeling Personal Qualities Precise Excellent verbal communication Flexibility Teamwork spirit Reliable Sense of responsibility Maturity Benefits Health Benefits Dental care plan Vision care benefits
