Work Environment Various work locations Responsibilities Tasks - Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered - Read plans, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements - Measure, cut and adjust underlayment and underlay - Measure, cut and install carpet on flooring - Measure, cut and install flexible floor coverings - Prepare and install hardwood floors - Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings - Prepare floors for covering - Remove existing floor coverings and residue - Install outdoor carpets
