Work Environment Multiple work locations Responsibilities Tasks Be part of a team of two truck drivers or a convoy Load and unload merchandise Drive trucks or articulated combinations to transport goods or materials Monitor the condition of vehicles and perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, refrigerated storage equipment and other equipment Accept and process payment for merchandise Adjust brakes Perform emergency repairs on the road Inspect trucks before, during and after the trip and monitor all aspects of vehicles Perform preventive maintenance Receive and transmit information to central dispatcher Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo Experience and specialization Documentary knowledge Accident and incident report Bill of lading Driver's log book Inspection report (before departure, en route and after the trip) Maintenance and repair reports Cross-border documents Trip report Additional information Transportation and travel information Valid driver's license Willing to travel across borders Willing to travel for long periods Willing to travel abroad Willing to travel for periods exceeding 24 hours Working conditions and physical abilities Attention to detail Handle heavy loads Physically demanding Seated work position Weight handled Up to 45 kg (100 lb) Personal qualities Flexibility Sound judgment Organizational skills Reliable Team player Patience
