Responsibilities Tasks Taking appointments Cutting and trimming hair according to client instructions and preferences Personalized hair and scalp treatment Shampooing and rinsing client hair Providing hair treatments, such as waves, relaxing and dyeing, and providing scalp conditioning massages Applying bleach, doing color shampoos, dyeing or rinsing to color, frost or highlight hair Cutting, trimming, texturizing, curling, waving, perming and styling Suggesting a hairstyle compatible with the client's physical characteristics and preferences Performing receptionist duties Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering
Required Qualifications Qualifications (certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.) Hairdresser/barber license
Experience and Specialization Hair styling techniques Hair drying Braiding Curling and waving iron Twists Roller setting Coloring techniques Bleaching Dyes Highlights/lowlights
