Dump truck driver

Responsibilities Tasks Operate light-duty trucks for specific purposes Load and unload merchandise Monitor vehicle condition and inspect tires, headlights, brakes, refrigeration storage equipment and other equipment Perform emergency repairs on the road Inspect trucks before, during and after trips and monitor all aspects of vehicles Receive and transmit information to central dispatcher Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption
Qualifications Credentials (certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.) Authorization to operate air brakes Driver's license (Class 3 or D)
