Responsibilities Tasks Clear and collect brush and debris in fields, enclosures and other work areas Remove wood and stones from fields Develop and guide the behavior of farm animals Diagnose livestock health problems Monitor and care for animals Monitor animal health Organize tasks to accomplish work Perform animal grooming activities Feed livestock Track and report on animal feed inventory Weaning Feed and care for animals Negotiate with clients regarding services to be provided Operate and maintain agricultural equipment and machinery Execute a pen breeding program or unsupervised breeding program Develop a nutrition program Keep records of livestock performance Keep production and quality records Clean stables, barns, farmyards and enclosures Maintain up-to-date files and records Perform general farm tasks Install and control water lines and aeration and temperature regulation devices in barns, enclosures and poultry houses
