Responsibilities Tasks Transport and replace table linens Clean and disinfect items such as dish racks, carts and garbage disposals in the dishwasher Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs Fill bins and trays used to clear tables Operate a dishwasher to wash dishes, glasses and utensils Put away dishes in their designated location Replenish condiments and other items on tables and in service areas Disinfect dishes and other items and wash them by hand Prepare and heat simple dishes Fill refrigerators and salad bars Take customer orders Clean and disinfect the kitchen, workstations, cupboards, storage areas and equipment Receive, unpack and store provisions in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas Remove waste and garbage and empty trash bins
