Responsibilities Tasks Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing devices and systems Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing devices and systems Read plans, drawings and technical specifications to determine the layout of piping, water supply network and sewer and drainage systems Determine and mark the location of pipe fittings, holes for pipe passage through walls and floors as well as accessories Drill openings in walls and floors with diameters suitable for pipes and plumbing accessories Join pipes with fittings, clamps, screws, bolts or adhesive, brazing or welding materials Check pipes using pressure gauges to detect leaks Determine plumbing requirements and pipe size specifications Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
